Skin Camouflage Tattoo

What is a Camouflage Tattoo?
Camouflage tattoo is a form of paramedical aesthetic tattooing method that safely and gently implants custom blended pigmentatiaton to the affected area. This special technique is to create a pigment illusion in order to conceal the area that is affected to blend in with the surround healthy tissue.

Who is Camouflage Tattoo for?
Camouflage can be beneficial for anyone who seeks concealing areas such as:
• Stretch Marks
• Injury Scars
• Surgical Scars
• Acne Scars
• Burns
• Self harm Scars
• Vitiligo

Such scars can be treated if they are at least 1.5 years old, completely healed with stable color. Scars must be completely mature prior to any camouflage treatments.

Texture of the scar must be relevantly flat and smooth and without darkened edges. Scars with darkened edges my increase chances of further hyperpigmenteation complications along the boarders of the scar.

Camouflage tattoos are NOT ADVISED for individuals who:
• New scars or that have a pinkish hue
• Scars that are prone to hyperpigmentation
• Keloid scars
• Individuals who are pregnant or nursing
• Use of retinol or acutain within the past 6 months
• Active vitiligo
• Diabetic
• Undergoing Chemotherapy
• Hemophilic
• Feeling unwell

Please consult with a physician regarding the best course of treatment for the listed conditions.

What to Expect
Paramedical tattooing procedures can vary anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours. There is minimal downtime and discomfort; immediately after your camouflage procedure, the treatment site may be tender for about 24-48 hours and may appear to be slightly swollen and red. To minimize swelling, a cold compress may be used. Symptoms will lessen and color will settle naturally as healing progresses.

With consistant and proper postcare, paramedical tattoos can heal within about 10-14 days. To prevent fading and support healing, it is important to closely follow all aftercare instructions and to protect the treatment site by avoiding:

• Clothing that is tight fitting for 2 to 3 days
• Emersed/ prolonged exposure to water and water pressure
• Working out for the first 72 hours
• Direct sunlight
• Contact with chlorinated water and/or salt water
• Use of omega and vitamin E products
• Skin care products, including soaps and lotions
• Excessive friction and force

RESULTS
Having realistic expectations and understanding that paramedical tattoo treatments will not restore the appearance of the affected area back to the state it was prior to trama or discolorations. The goal of camouflaging the treated area is to create the illusion by improving the contrast to the affected area to conceal the skin anomaly.

Camouflage treatments will require two to three sessions to achieve the desired coverage and/or depth of color. There may be some sligth fading of pigment which is to be expected in the first 10-14 days after a camouflage session. The color will then sustain within four to six weeks after treatment. Thereafter, you may then schedule your follow-up camouflage session to touch up and enhance your results.

After the treated area is completely healed, with proper tlc, sunscreen, and hydration your camouflage tattoo can be enjoyed for many years.
